Webcomic: Nineteen-Ninety-Something

Post by Bakura »

A webcomic about life for 90's kids... set in the 90's.

While the general tone seems to go wildly from goofy antics to... well... soap opera drama that Melrose Place and Another World could only DREAM of concocting up, I've taken to recent strips, and decided to read it from the beginning onward.

And I found this little scene, spread out over two strips. Joel's (one of the main protagonists) little sister, Katy, takes a babysitting job for a little boy, described by her own mother as requiring a 'certain kind of discipline', and his OWN mother as 'a fireball, sometimes', and 'NOT crazy', she assures her.

Katy tries to phone the cops after finding out the kid's a psycho, but it fails and he ties her hands behind her back.

Her wrists are bound behind her back, and her ankles are bound as well, just as the mother returns home before the kid can do... whatever... with a car battery.

The scene isn't there. Do you know where in the comic it is? Those links instead take you to a different babysitting-related plot, but not the DiD scene you described.

Seems the creator has removed those specific pages as the baby-sitting plot is still there. You might be able to reach the artist on DA about it? They actually have some DiD commission work on their DA page: https://www.deviantart.com/jbwarner86/gallery/all

Luckily, the Wayback Machine's got our back!

But just in case anything happens, here are two embeds of the scenes:

Nicely done. I should have thought of that.
