Some recycled comic artwork

In early to mid 20th century american comics was it not uncommon for artists to sometimes lift artwork from others, or even from their own earlier works. I believe this practice was relatively accepted in those days, and even the best artists did it from time to time.

Anyway, here is an example I found that probably only weirdos would have noticed:
