I feel like anime is becoming more and more "bondagey" with their DiD scenes. This makes me sad. I prefer old school DiD to this kinda stuff. Still nice find.

I know exactly what you mean as I've been thinking the exact same thing about most of the new anime scenes that have come out the last several years. It seems like every year there are more and more scenes from anime shows that tilt toward "bondage fanservice" rather than actual good 'ol fashioned DiD scenes. There's not a lot of scenes in anime anymore where the girl is just plain kidnapped for ransom or to blackmail the hero or whatever. Most of what we get now is stuff that really doesn't have a heck of a lot to do with the plot and feels like it's only thrown in to please the horny, largely male audience. They know what a big fetish bondage is for us and I feel like most of these scenes just get added as fanservice and it's way too obvious that's really the only reason they're there.

It's still a nice find by you ghostz, and definitely a visually appealing scene, but I have to agree with Suicide on this one. It'd be nice to see more old-fashioned, non-sexual DiD scenes from anime, but sadly those seem to be really dwindling in the new stuff.

Exactly. And yeah I find this screen cap hot for sure. I mean it certainly appeals to my more hardcore side. But as you said it's just a gradual departure from the classic elements that turned me on to DiD in the first place and more about the bondage crowd fan service. Not that fan service is anything new in the anime genre. But it would be nice to have more real old school DiD scenes in the newer shows. Like that Guilty Crown scene recently! That was some great classic style DiD (though it too had a hint of more hardcore undertones when they started mobbing her).

Luckily cartoons from the western shore and Europe seem to be making strides to these classic types of scenes.

Agree, miss a good grab from behind, followed by either a sleepy or tie job and carry off scene with a later scene at villians hideout.

I don't mind this but can't beat the classic setups. Ofcourse this coming from the guy who thought up voodooie so take it in your own view.

Ditto. Like you said, I dig the anime fanservice-type scenes too on a more "adult" level, and if they want to keep pumping out those style scenes I'm fine with it. It's just unfortunate that the more scenes of those kind there are, the less there seem to be made of the old "classic" style DiD scenes. Those are what really got my 'DiD motor' running all those years ago, and it's still my favorite kind of DiD. I sometimes wish that they would keep the more fetishy scenes relegated to hentai (where we'd expect to see that kind of stuff anyway) and just do more old-school DiD in regular anime.

I agree though, cartoons have never really stopped putting out the old-school DiD scenes and they continue to do so, much to our luck. Part of the reason for that probably is just tv standards in Japan vs. the U.S. and probably even Europe. Simply put, they can get away with a lot more sexual/fetishy scenes in Japan than animation companies over here can due to stricter tv standards and such. Classic style DiD scenes are really the only thing that the animation studios can get away with over here, at least if it's going to be on primetime tv. That's not to say that there's never any sexual/bondage & DiD fetish undertones to western scenes though. I could think of some that really made me think "Oh yeah, they were definitely trying to please DiD fans with this one!" They just have to be a lot more subtle about how they do it over here.

Pretty much my absolute favorite scene set-up too! I love it when an unsuspecting damsel gets grabbed and hand-gagged/chloro'ed from behind, forcibly carried off by the villain and winds up bound and gagged for safe-keeping at his hideout! Sadly, we don't see as many of these "stalk-and-capture" types of scenes anymore it seems.
